China's rubber import and export situation in first 5 months of 2021

From January to May 2021, China imported a total of 521,000 tons of main synthetic rubber, an increase of 56,000 tons or 12% compared with the same period in 2020.
From January to May 2021, China exported 125,000 tons of main synthetic rubber, an increase of 61,000 tons, or 94%, compared with the same period in 2020.
From January to May 2021, China imported 114,000 tons of synthetic latex, with a year-on-year increase of 47%; Imports of natural latex 248,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24%.
From January to May 2021, China imported a total of 35,000 tons of composite rubber, up 40% year on year. Imports of natural rubber totaled 681,000 tons, up 24% year on year; Imports of natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixtures totaled 1.235 million tons, down 4% year on year.
China produced 642,000 tons of synthetic rubber in May, up 2.4 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. China's cumulative output of synthetic rubber from January to May was 3.18 million tons, up 14.4 percent year on year.
